Re: Weekend Plans
Amazingly we have no grand plans!
Tonight L is taking the kids to the gym so she can work out and the kids can go to childcare. We feel weird about having them in school all day and then putting them in childcare at the gym, but they begged to go last night when they got their haircut (too late on a school night.) So they are going today - they love it there. I'll probably meet them for dinner.
Tomorrow - I want to go to the county fair - but when I mentioned it to L, she was less than enthused. Humph. No other plans...so maybe I'll change her mind.
Sunday - I have no idea. L is flying out later that day for a work trip, so I am sure she will be packing at some point. We take her to the airport about 4 - and I promised the kids they could go into the airport vs dropping her off curbside. Perhaps I'll take the kids to dinner before we go home to get ready for the week.
(I have Monday off - and have NOTHING to do between 7:30am (when I drop off the kids at school) and 5pm (when I pick them up.) Wheeeeee!
Today I'm baking a cake for my goddaughters 2nd birthday. Tonight we are driving to LA to pick up an antique desk, vanity and table from my DW's aunt.
Tomorrow morning I'm going to finish the cake and then deliver it to the party in the afternoon. I'm sure the rest of the day will be spent at the party.
Sunday I am hoping to stop by Home Depot to pick up some primer, white paint, and sandpaper so I can refinish the desk and vanity to put in the kids room. Also hoping to go to Goodwill to pick up the 2 dressers I found last week so I can refinish those too. I hope they are still there. Can't beat $17 and $30 for large, real wood dressers!
Any free time I have will be spent cleaning and organizing for the home inspection.

duchess-good luck monday and happy birthday lmc!
This weekend will be busy and not in a good way. We are car shopping on Sat. My lease ended last fall and we didn't replace it. S and I have been sharing hers for the past months. It has worked fine but I am ready to have my own car again. We are looking at used Foresters (09 or 10). We are heading to a dealership that has quite a few so hopefully we will find one that we like and that we can afford. We have saved a little more than half the money and are pre aproved for the other half so it should go well. I just have to get my negotiation face on. There is one that is really snazzy with lots of bells and whistles that I really like but I think it is out of our price range. We will see.
Sunday my inlaws want to see Ella. I could say they want to see S and I but really we know that is not true! Anyway we were hoping they would come home from the lake early so we would only have to drive an hour to see them but the weather is supposed to be good so we will have to drive 2 hours to the lake (which is always fun) but a long drive.
I have been working for my consulting gig a ton this week and it is stressing me out. The money is great so I can't complain but hell this is tough. S took E to the park this morning so I could work and I was so sad to see them go off without me! They are not back yet and I have another call at 1 pm. I miss my girls!

I LOVE our Forester. Its a 2002 (115k or so) and I know we'll need to replace it eventually. We already decided to get a new one. I had it serviced recently and the new ones are actally somewhat bigger which I'm on the fence about but still love. If we can afford it I'd prefer an Outback though but anyhting with a roof rack will do!
SInce Annie is feeling better I hope to get some fun time in with her this weekend.
Tonight Carol has to work so A and I will pick up Chipolte and go have dinner with her at her job.
Tomorrow I may see if I can convince Carol to try going to the fair again. We went for a short time last Sunday, but had to leave to take Annie to the ER since she started to get worse. I think she would be so excited by the animals. Saturday night I work ( 11p to 7a)
Sunday will probably be grocery shopping and errands.

I love my Outback! It's an 04, but I know the new ones are a lot bigger. I kind of don't know how I feel about that, but fingers crossed I'm hoping to keep my current Outback until 2014.
