Pregnant Halloween Costume Ideas

I will be 37 weeks pregnant on Halloween and I would love to do something creative with my belly.  I am looking for ideas that I can also incorporate my 18 month old into and husband if I can convince him.  For example- my belly is a fish bowl and LO is a fish or I am a fried egg and they are both bacon slices. Any other cute ideas that I could possibly make or buy if need be?

TIA

Re: Pregnant Halloween Costume Ideas

  • ~ you could paint your belly like a pumpkin and LO and DH could be pumpkins too.

~ i like the fish bowl idea.

~ you could paint your belly like your fav or DH's rival basketball team.  then LO and DH could be cheerleaders or other rival teams.

    that's all i got.  GL!

  • i saw the pumpkin idea online and thought that might be cute...I am not really a big basketball fan.  Thanks for the suggestions!
  • I was a witch.  The costume was long and flowy.

My friend was a Christmas tree.

    Also, a ladybug.

  • The fish bowl idea is great! I would dress up your 18 month old as a cat though, I think that would be VERY cute. Also DH could be a fisherman?

Another idea, is the making you an oven (with the requisite "bun") and LO and DH bakers. :D

  • last year my pg SIL was a dead bride- it was very funny with her huge belly!

  • I was a pregnant skeleton!  I wore a black skeleton costume (the ones with the rubbery bones sewn on) and my mom sewed on a little pink baby skeleton on the belly!  So cute :)
  • How about dressing up as the Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly? You could have pictures of a fly, a spider, a bird, a cat, a dog, a goat, and a cow on your belly. Then your little one could dress up as the horse you haven't swallowed yet.

  • I've seen the bun in the oven costume, with the hubby having a chefs hat and apron that says "bun maker". maybe your son could be a little loaf?

alternatively, you could go as mama bear, papa bear and baby bear.

  • I don't know about incorporating your husband/daughter, but you could put on an apron, go barefoot and carry a rolling pin -- "Barefoot and Pregnant in the Kitchen."

  • I helped a friend make an adorable flower in a flower pot costume and DH was a farmer. LO could be a flower as well?

  • What about going as an oven with a bun, your H going as a baker, and your LO going as a cupcake or muffin?
