Failure at tomatoes again this year

Make this year 3 (or 4?) that I failed at growing tomatoes. Went to a cousin's home and they grew tomatoes in reusuable bags (moved mid-summer), and have TONS of tomatoes. We got 2 itty bitty ones, can't even slice them.

DH wants to try again next summer. Le sigh. We can't grow vegetables for the life of us.

Re: Failure at tomatoes again this year

  • That stinks. This was our first year trying and we've had pretty good success, I think. We have enough to eat, but not so many we're giving them away. One thing I will do differently next year is stake them better because they are all dying now even though all of my neighbors plants are still going strong.

I think we must have lucked out because I can't keep a cactus alive so I'm not sure how I managed a fairly successful zucchini and tomato crop. Tongue Tied Must have been all the rain - lol

  • I tried to have a garden last summer, but it didn't go well. I'm hoping that our next house will have a larger yard so that I can try again. I'd love to do some canning.
