Brunch Shower

I don't know why I'm having such a mental block...

Is there an ideal time?  is 11:30 too late?

Re: Brunch Shower

  • I think it depends on your crowd.  By 11:30, my friends and I would be starving since we'd have gotten up by 7:30, exercised, worked in the garden a little, run some errands...  If you have one of those late groups of people where no one likes getting up before 11, it's good.
  • I agree with you.  I think I'll just move it to noon and serve lunch.  Hosting a 10am shower at my house just doesnt seem appealing to me considering all the work involved!

  • We just had a Brunch on Sunday to celebrate a friends new baby. We set the time at 10:30, and our first guest showed at 10:40 - everyone else was closer to 11 - including the guests of honor. Now, it could have been that it was the same crew we always have over for parties, so everyone is comfortable about showing up whenever, or it was just too early for the ones recovering from their late Saturday night.

  • I'd do 11 AM...that's what I did for my sister's bridal shower & included a few lunch savory items & it worked out fine!!
  • I think 10:30 or 11am would be the ideal brunch shower times.
  • I'm planning a brunch baby shower and having it 11am-1pm. I figure they can just have a small bite at home if they are starving.
  • i had my sister's baby shower brunch at 11 and it worked out perfectly...it's a combo of breakfast + lunch (obviously), so those who are late risers will count it as breakfast and those who are early risers will count it as lunch. :)
