AW - Jacob's 1st day at school

OMG what a big boy he was. ?When I told him I was leaving and that I would be back, he could care less, he said bye and that was it.

I was a big girl too, I didn't cry! ?I felt like crying when I went with DH to pick him up, my little baby is growing up.

His teacher did say she is going to work with him on sitting quietly during circle time. ?She said he keeps getting up and wanting to go play and do his own thing. ?I guess because that is how he is here at home. ?I am fine with it, ?I know he will get used to it! ?He just needs to adjust to the school routine.

He cam home ?cuddled with dad for a little while, ate lunch, and is now taking a nap.

I love my boy so much. ?I am still in awe over him, just as much as the day he was born. ?My heart is just so full with love for him.?

  • That's so sweet.  You brought tears to my eyes.
  • Awww what a big boy!  And yes, take it from a preschool owner, not sitting during circle time is 100% normal until he gets used to it.  We have the same "problems" with new kids all the time.  In fact we had one yesterday that "ran" away from us several times (we rotate class rooms and frequently had to catch him as he ran into another room).  It just takes time but it sounds like he did great!

    Good job, Mom!!!

  • Gosh he's grown so fast. I remember when he was a little little guy! Such a big milestone for you all....He's going to be in Elementary School before you know it:)
  • What a big boy. They grow up so bloody fast.
  • how exciting and scary at the same time.  Great job for Jacob for handling his first day so well.
  • Jacob ROCKS!  What a big boy!  He's gonna do great!

Great job Mom!  Glad you were a "big girl"!  It can be emotional at times.  They grow up so fast, but it's amazing to watch them grow, learn and flourish!  ENjoy!
