So hubby graduated in May and since then we've been waiting impatiently for him to get his commission for the Marine Corps (he'll be a 2nd Lieutenant). Once he gets that he'll go to six months of training and then get a permanent station, so basically we've been waiting on his real career to begin.
So it's been very frustrating, and he just wants to go and his paperwork has been sitting at the Bureau of Medicine for quite awhile....and it's been hard on him so we've been bickering about it. I insisted this week we go check in with his Captain, and she FINALLY made a call to check on it yesterday.
And not 10 minutes ago did she call him and tell him to get down to the office to fill out some paperwork because it's in!!!
So now he waits for his package to go to a board and they approve it (hopefully). If they do they'll set his commission date (yay!) and he'll go soon after. Right now it looks like he'll commission in January and head to training in March. We were hoping he'd go in October instead but oh well. At least it's some good news....
He was so happy when he left!
ETA: He's commissioning in mid-December, we just got off the phone and he's on his way home, but I'm so excited!!!!
