My weekend!

I had a great time in Savannah, even though it kinda rained most of the time.  It changed what we did, but I had so much fun with my sisters and Dave.  We've never done this before- had the three sisters without our parents, hanging out.  And the younger one is 16 years younger, but I'm thankful that we still can hang out and get each other.  We went to Bonaventure Cemetary, did a Scavenger hunt in downtown Savannah, went on a ghost tour at night, and at least saw Tybee Island before it started to thunder and my sister got sick (gets migraines a lot).

We had a showing at our house!  No feedback at all, which is a little bit of a bummer, but I hope that this means the staging had an impact!  And hopefully more showings...  And ultimately sell the house...

And yesterday I played hooky from work.  We got back so late Monday night, and by the time we got home we didn't go to bed until 1am.  Then I got into a funk where I was stressing myself out thinking I needed to go to sleep so I could get up at 5:20am, and then I couldn't fall asleep.  So when my alarm went off, I sent a quick email and said I was taking another day off.  I felt like I just flew from Europe or China without any sleep though, I was exhausted!

Re: My weekend!

  • Sounds like you had fun in Georgia! I love Savannah! Did you go to River Street and try out some yummy sweets?
  • We did go to River Street, but had been drinking a lot and had just eaten, so we just kind of sat by the river and talked.  We'll be there again though- any place in particular that is a must go for sweets?
  • There are a few but I can't think of names on the top of my head right now. Where did you eat at?
  • glad you had a great weekend!! And very exciting about the showing. I don't think I've gotten to tell you yet, but the new pics look amazing! I didn't see anything wrong with your old pics so I was shocked to see the new ones. I'm gonna try to email you this afternoon. Works been crazy but we haven't chitchattd in a while!

  • Sarbar, I'll have to ask my sister.  We had lunch at the top of the Boheme motel (might have spelled that wrong) and probably won't go again.  It was SO expensive and my little sister basically only eats chicken nuggets and there were no choices of that type for her.  We ate at Jalapeno's for lunch one day... and offhand that's all I'm remembering.  The rooftop one at the top of the hotel was the only place we ate at in downtown Savannah, although we stopped at a few bars for beers (Moon River and 17hundred90 among others).

Tammy, I was so excited to get a showing.  Although I think I'm about to go finally buy that St. Joseph statue and bury it in the backyard. :)  Can't hurt!

  • Sounds like fun times! Glad you were able to hang with your sisters like that
  • Sounds like a fun trip! I love Savannah! I wish I could go more often because its only 3 hours away.

And so glad you had a showing! It will happen!

  • There's a ton of places and oh yea glad you had someone come look at your house.

  • Glad you had a good time!
  • I lurve Savannah! Glad you had a great time!  Ohhhh! Did you get drinks at Wet Willies?  Thats my fav.  Its so nice to walk thru all the squares there.  Such a pretty southern city.  I prefer it over Charleston.

We didn't go to Wet Willie's, but we walked past it and my sister told me about it.  One of my sisters is 15 and she wasn't allowed in.  We thought about taking turns going in and seeing if we could get her a non-alcoholic slushie, but we had already drank a lot anyways and we were flying home a few hours after that.  So, next time!

  • WHAT?  Maybe they've changed since the last time I got a non-alky drink there.  Ok, that was a long time ago when I was a Girl Scout.  But I think they had them the last time we were in Savannah.  Oh well.  Glad you had a great time.
