Things to do...

As I said before in a previous post, my husband and I recently moved to Boise. Now that we have un-packed what we brought with us, we are at a loss as to what there is to do around Boise. We've found the library (hard to miss), and have done a little bit of exploring down town, but that's about it. So what kinds of things do you and your husband do around here?

DH is from here so he seems to always know the fun places to go.  We like to go to the Reel theaters ( $2.00 Movies)  and we go and play miniture golf at Wahooz in Meridian.  We live in Nampa and like to take half day trips too!  We go to Marsing  and to the Givens Hot Springs.  We have added Yelp! to our phones so that we are never at a loss for a good place to eat either.  I don't know where you moved from, but I moved form the Seattle - Bellevue area and Boise and the Treasure valley are very small town but so very charming at the same time!  Just spending a day wandering the streets and looking in shops has been some of the ways that we have found our favorite places!

There's a lot to do in the Valley.  You can check the Scene magazine for events.  There's usually some kind of festival going on downtown usually at Julia Davis or Ann Morrison this time of year. 
There's also the Boise Art Museum, the train tour (which is cool even for a native like me), Wahooz, movies, and I'm sure there's more that I can't think of right now.
