Hey there. Where the HECK have you been? lol I haven't seen you around in forever!!
Also, I see that you do food reviews. How did you get into that? Do you get paid for it? Do you enjoy it? Tell me about it. It sounds so fun!

Re: Julie****
I know, I know! I've been a bad nestie!
I had to stop coming on here during the day because my employer put this software on our comps that monitors our internet use. Two women got fired over it! But after work the last thing I'd want to do is come online after sitting in front of a computer all day!
But now that my last day here is Aug. 31st, I'm not so worried about the monitoring. Normally I just kind of run through the Nest and don't have the time to post!
I heard about writing for Examiner online. I applied, gave them a writing sample and got hired! It's...okay. I enjoy it because I love writing and just wanted to be "published" somewhere. You essentially don't get paid. They pay you based on hits on your pages, subscribers, how many articles you write, etc. It translates to like 50 cents a day or less, so don't do it for the money. I know people CAN make money doing it, but you have to dedicate a lot of time to writing and self-promotion, which I don't have right now.
I actually went someplace new yesterday and was hoping to get another article up. It's really something I just do for fun.
Thanks for paging me! I love blog stalking you!
It sounds really fun. I would love to do this just so that I'd actually get to see many of the restaurants I've never been to/don't know about. Since we're still fairly new, there is SO much we don't know of.
Do they pay you for the food or do you have to do that too?
Oh, thanks for blog stalking me! hehe I blog stalk you too!!! :-)
And YAY to a new job?!?! That's exciting. I wish I could find a new job!! lol
No, they don't pay for your food. So I never go out to eat just to write because I'd essentially be losing money by paying for it (I guess you lose money when you eat out anyway, eh?). So whenever I'm already planning on eating out I just try to go somewhere new to review.
It's funny, I was originally hired to be a BBQ food reviewer, which is totally random and limiting. I was so happy when I got upgraded to "Cheap Eats"! But that's why I reviewed so many BBQ places!
Right now I don't have a new job to report, I'm just looking. I left my current job without a new one. I know that's kind of a faux pas or whatever, but it just had to happen. Thanks for thinking of me!
Wow, good for you! I don't have the nerve to do something like that! haha I wish I did though. You will find something! When one door closes, another opens! Good luck! :-)
