Conservative counterpart to Media Matters?

My (very liberal) brother mentioned that even though MM gets a bad rap by conservatives it does provide fact checking.  He also said he doesn't believe that any of the conservative counterparts do this.  I wasn't sure if this was true, but I suspect that this is because he spends much of his time on liberal/Democrat type sites, etc.  I told him that there are a lot of awesome, knowledgeable conservatives on this board, so I could ask here.

TIA

  • Thanks magnolia.  Anyone know of any others?
  • There doesn't need to be a conservative counterpart.  Liberals don't lie.  :)

  • I have looked for years for an equivalent and there just isn't any. Several have popped up trying to be the equivalent, but they end up attacking the people not the information.  Even sites that say they are against media matters, only attack the "liberalness" and do not challenge the accuracy of the reporting.  All of which supports the other poster on here about whether or not liberals lie. I won't say the don't lie, but at the least they don't make it part of their brand as the republicans of today seem to do. Yes, I am an ex - republican.
  • I am an ex Democrat -
a Truth may be twisted to suit the agenda at hand.
A cup that reads at the 1/2 mark may be 1/2 full or 1/2 empty --- which ever suits the agenda.  Both are true facts. How the fact is used can make the difference as to whether it is considered a Republican or Democrat statement.

Exactly.  Very few of the "lies" you see stated by the other side about Media Matters or Fox News are actually 100% lies, no matter how you look at it.  It's just spun a slight way that some people could say it's truth and others could say it's a lie.
