back from the land of the missing

Just wanted to say hi!

It's been a crazy summer to say the least.  MX cruise for my eldest nephews wedding followed immediately by a 3-day craft show and hubby leaving for AK for 6 weeks.  More crafting, more orders done, some traveling to visit friends/family and basically not be home alone with DD the whole time.  Then we flew up and did a 10-day road trip of AK and just got back. Right back into filling orders and prepping for another craft show.  Hoping to finally get DD's room painted and re-decorated while DH has an "off" rotation.  He'll have back to back rotations starting next month until graduation, not even spring break off.  He'll still be working in addition to those too.  Yikes.

Oh, DD's modeling from last year's Tori Spelling shoot are on the Little Maven site.  She's modeling the "Metropolis" line.  We got to see Tori again at her book signing.  I was amazed when we were at the front of the line and I called DD's name and Scout (one of "The Guncles") says "I know ___!"  He had been at the shoot, had helped pick the models, etc.  As soon as she finished signing the book for the woman in front of me, Tori came running out from behind the table to give us hugs, announce that DD had been one of her models, that we're friends online, etc.  Worth waiting in the long line (and we were close to the front).  Oh, and I made a tutu dress for Scout and Bill's new baby girl and they posted a pic of it on their blog.

Other than the house still looking like a tornado or five hit it, it's been a very productive summer.
