ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?
I am really psyched this year for football. TO and Ochocinco are heating it up and Favre is coming back. I want to see if the Bears will pull it all together and what is to come of those poor _________ (fill in the blank)
I am a Bears fan who relocated from Wisconsin. What team are you a fan of? How do you get some tickets to a game? Any fashion mechandise that is out for ladies?
Last question. . . ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?
Re: ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?
Not really a huge pro football fan, but definitely love college, esp The Ohio State Buckeyes. Can't wait for the season to start!
We normally have access to all the home games of the season bc H Grandma works for the University and will let us go to some games. But bc we live out of state, it is a little hard to do. I guess we will have to settle for watching them on tv.
We're definitely more college football fans rather than NFL fans. Our team is Notre Dame but we love the SEC (except for Florida....HATE the Gators) because we used to live in Georgia (hopefully moving back soon!).
DH is from MA which is where we live now and his family has had Patriots season tickets since he was a kid. So we usually get tickets for 1-2 games.
MissySue - OHIO v OSU....Sept 18.
Yup, I know. I am an OSU grad, but know a lot of people that went to OU. I have the schedule on the fridge and ready to go.
I guess we have something in common bc we hate Florida, too, obviously. But H and his family are all Notre Dame fans. I like them too, but never really followed them at much until meeting H.
Call me Cheap, I call it growing up!
Iam11 Roll Tide ROLL!!!! MY dad will be at the San Jose St. Game. I am going to the IRON BOWL this year with him! We live in Texas (Dad grew up in BAMA) but all of my family live about 35 north of Tuscaloosa! My cousin is actually head coach at Tuscaloosa County!
I am married to a Texas Fan so you know how that went!!! My daddy had all girls, so I learned football!!!
What do you think about this season?
I'm definitely more of a college girl than an NFL girl - graduated from Oklahoma State and bleed orange. I can't wait for our first game in two weeks! I love having season tickets (but it's my last year for the time being, since I'm moving to Colorado next summer).
Because Dez Bryant is with the Cowboys, I've become a Cowboys fan...but I also like the Eagles because my dad's from Philly, and I grew up watching them play. H is a Texas and Redskins fan - oh boy.
Well, since about 75% of the Red Sox are currently on the DL, I AM READY FOR FOOTBALL! The Pats looked great last night. My heart fluttered everytime Welker ran a formation. Taylor and the rushing committee just pounded on the Falcons. And the young guys on defense are starting to really come together. It's gonna be a good year...I CAN FEEL IT!
Not a fan really of college ball but will watch the bowl season since they tend to be big games. We'll root for Rutgers if they are on since my H grew up right next door. Funny story, my H travels a bit for work and will occasionally buy college t-shirts for our kids from where ever he has been. I emptied my son's gym bag at the end of the school year and realized he had two shirts in the bag: Michigan and Ohio State. I said, "Son, you know you could get beat up for having them in the same bag in certain parts of the country!". He laughed, "I know!" Turns out his track coach went to OSU and was happy to see that shirt, then bummed the next day when the MI appeared.
I am SOOO ready for football season. We are more college fans as well, but any football will do for me. We are Mizzou fans (see siggy). And then for NFL we are Chiefs fans (we lived in KC for a few years). My dad is a big rams fan...has been since they were in Cali. So, needless to say, we don't have great NFL teams that we follow. Haha.
2nd fantasy draft tomorrow and first mizzou game in 2 weeks. Yay!!
Not a huge NFL fan, but I will definitely be watching more this season since we're going to the Pro Bowl in January!
I guess I'll be a Cowboys fan, for my DH and also a Texans fan because I'm pretty close to Houston *shrug*.
COLLEGE, however, is a different story... TEXAS LONGHORNS have a whole new team and we are going to wreck it!
I am ready for football. We do not have tickets yet, but we hope to make it to the Panthers v 49ers game this year. We may also try to go to a Duke game.
I will be cheering for Duke and Penn St and the 49ers.
I'm a big Saints fan! Drew Brees is my hero. He won me my first Fantasy Football league I ever played in, and it's been a love fest ever since.
Hubby and I are going to go see them when they play San Fran this year, we just got tix.
I think I'll also be buying a jersey this season if I ever have the money for it.
I'm a Cheesehead, so needless to say I'm really looking forward to weeks 7 and 11 when GB plays MN.
Since I live in NC and the Panthers don't play GB, there's no way for me to go to a game unless I were to win tickets to a game and my travel expenses were paid for.
As far as college football goes, I'm all about Texas.
So, SO ready for football season...though I'm sure I'll be eating my words in a few weeks, once my Bills start the regular season.
My sister just bought a house about a mile down the road from the Ralph, so we were looking into getting tickets for the home opener vs Miami and tailgating at her place, but it's a long drive from CT for a day, and if you figure in flights + game tickets, it's a pretty pricey weekend. I have to get my football fix at the local bar with DirecTV, since DH is perfectly happy sitting home watching his Giants. Gah!
I can't wait! Right now I;m trying to talk DH into getting Direct TV since I've had NO luck finding a bar to watch our games around here (me- Steelers, him - Dolphins) We're in Middle GA where no one is interested in the NFL and a lot of bars are closed on Sunday.
Just drafted my first-ever FF roster today. It's not bad considering I was last to pick. I got Randy Moss and Tony Romo, among others.
No words to describe how excited I am about football season. My purchases do though:
purple ring
purple bracelets
purple tights....yes, purple tights
burnt orange flip flops
We have season tickets to both the University of Texas and Texas Christian University. If it is an away game for UT and a home game for TCU we go to the TCU game, and we go to EVERY UT home game. So excited!
So ready for some football here!!!! I really enjoyed reading everyones reply to this message.
I am a Auburn girl!!!! WDE!!!!! I graduated in 2003. Like some of the others I am more a college football girl. If I had to pick a NFL team, I am split between the Cowboys and Eagles. I know crazy huh? My husband is a Bears fan......why, no clue.
As for my hubs college team, well we have a interesting situation. We live college football 24/7
He is a coach for a college. So of course we support our team and our football family. Here hoping for a wonderful 2010 season!
Haha, I don't think I have been on this board since last football season!
I love football. I am an Eagles fan in Redskins territory so I NEVER get to watch games. I sit at sports bars most of the season just so I get to watch the birds play. I am not going to lie, I am a little worried having a "rookie" QB for the first time in 12 years, but we shall see.
I love love love the Mountaineers. We love the competition in college ball more than in professional so we tend to watch many more college games. BTW, what the he!! is up with WVU being #4 preseason in the Big East. Not gonna happen!
I am so excited for the season to start already!
I'm so excited!!! I do watch the NFL and college so my weekends are "booked".
I'm a huge ND fan and am very excited to see what Coach Kelly can do to the team that Weis botched! Hopefully we can get back that long running tradition back!
NFL--EAGLES!!!!!!!! This will be an interesting season because McNabb was traded to the Redskins! The team looks 'ok' and could use some work!!!
With ND, I'm bummed because the new VS line doesn't care ND things...maybe because it's a catholic school ? Enjoy the season ladies!!!!
