Swore I wouldn't plant this fall...but now...
I'm considering it. LOL
Question is, I didn't purchase seeds to do so -- will I still be able to find some in garden centers, or am I going to have to order via the internet?
I'm not looking for anything unusual -- some spinach, broccoli, cauliflower...
Re: Swore I wouldn't plant this fall...but now...
this is my first year vegetable gardening, i had no idea I could do another crop...tell me more.
It was my first year as well, but I knew I had options for spring (which I missed b/c we were still prepping the garden area), summer, and fall. Some of the hardiest things can apparently be planted and maintained over the winter, but I'm not trying for that. I thought I'd just squeeze an additional crop of some of the 'colder' favorites I listed above before it frosts.
All that being said...you're DEFINITELY north of me. LOL You'd have to look into it for your zone!
I dunno about this...my local nursery (as well as HD & Lowes) either are completely sold out or have *very* slim pickings.
You may want to scout out ASAP so you have plenty of time to order, start the seeds & transplant before the first frost.
I scouted locally today -- nada. Lowes had some already-started broccoli, but the price was more than a head of broccoli. LOL
