Need gift ideas for a 2 year old boy..
Re: Need gift ideas for a 2 year old boy..
We got my nephew something like this (if not this exactly) for his second birthday. He LOVED it.

A friend of mine who had a little boy a few months older than DS gave us a backpack play-doh set for his second birthday. She told me she knew it said for three and over on the package but it was the best gift her DS had received on his 2nd birthday. I was skeptical because he was my first and I tend to be a bit overprotective at times, but it turned out to be the most entertaining gift ever.
There is a play-doh duffle bag set at Target that is really cute and fun too.
Lately I have been giving gift certificates;
Day at the zoo for birthday child and parents, aquarium, I even gave one friend 6 weeks of music class she wanted to take with her daughter.
we have friends with 3 yr. old twins going to disney for their bday next week- I went to disney store and got them gift cards for disney and reusable bags that say happy birthday with mickey and minnie and stuffed them full of simple things for the plane ride! The parents loved it!
Finger paint, brushes, smock, paper. If you have an IKEA you can get everything cheap. I actually bought some backups for kids. They have brushes and a paint cover up I think both are $2-3. Crayon finger paint set and some large paper.
Leap Frog Magnetic ABC set is also a big hit.
Baby Boy loved for 15 weeks, 5/31/11
Baby Girl loved for 16.5 weeks. 3/1/12
i teach preschool, and in the 2 1/2 to 3yr old room, the boys love playing with the wood train sets, esp. Thomas the Tank engine, they also love cars/fire engines and foam building blocks (safer than wood). Hope that helps!
