So I just found out a friend of ours died last night. He was in a motorcycle accident leaving a bar. He died on site and the girl he was with was flown to Scottsdale memorial and is in critical condition.
I'm in total shock because I just saw him Tuesday and he was supossed to be coming by today for some business related stuff. He works with my husband and all the guys are getting together over at "Tim's" house having beers. Josh won't go because he thinks thats weird to be in his buddies house when his buddy is dead. I told him it's just their way of mourning him and he dosn't have to go if he's uncomfortable. They are cleaning his house. Its their day off. He lived with roomates but his parents live in Florida. So there was no other family in AZ. He was depressed and seeing a counsler because his wife died a year and half ago from cancer. So i'm happy he's now with her and happy once again.
I'm in total disbelief that this happened. If you read this thank you. I just found out and i'm stuck at work and have no one to talk to about this. My dad rides a Harley and I sent him a text letting him know that I love him.
Re: I just got some bad news and I have no one to talk to
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
Thanks ladies.
I just found out more. He was apparently driving through the desert and hit a pot hole and both he and this girl (i do not know her) flew off the bike he broke his neck on impact and died while she broke both legs, her pelvis, a few ribs, wrist, and ruptured her spleen. she was unconsious for god knows how long then woke up screaming. apparently it was hours after the accident before anyone found them
Oh my gosh, Jenn, I am SO sorry!!! That is so sad! :-(
It's great that he is now with his wife in a much better place but it's still very sad losing a friend or family member!
My heart goes out to you, his family and friends!!!
Oh my god, i can't even imagine! I'm so sorry. That is one scary accident.
My thoughts are with you. *hugs*
That is so sad to hear! I'm so sorry for your's and Josh's loss!
Let Josh know that it's very common for people to gather at the house for drinks and remembrance. I remember when my Grandma died we stayed at her house and day and night it was filled with her friends! My brother and I gathered enough beer and pop bottles at the end that we earned about $50 by recycling them at the end! And the house was filled with stories and laughter... it made it very easy to mourn but also remember and celebrate. I wish the other funerals I've attended since had been that way.
Oh my gosh, I am so sorry to hear such sad news.
MH really wants to own a motorcycle and they terrify me.
