Good Morning

Good morning ladies, thankful for another week but so wishing I could have started it spending this gross rainy day curled up in bed!

How was everyone's weekend?!? Anything exciting planned for the week?

Re: Good Morning

  • Yeah me too. I slept so good last night with the windows open, even though I did hear Amanda's balloons blowing around all night. We keep forgetting to take them down.

A former co-worker of mine who moved to GA is in town for the week. She married an Army man down in FL over 4th of July and they're here for a reception with her extended family. The reception was yseterday & she did invite us but we were too wiped out from Amanda's party so I am going to try & get together with her this week after dinner so I can meet her new husband.

  • My weekend was pretty relaxing- I had my monthly visitor so I was trying to take it easy. I did take Randi out Saturday to buy some more underwear and training bras since school starts next week :-) Her mom bought her one (yes only one) several months ago, but no more have appeared so I took her shopping to try them on and see what she likes. I find it amazing, her mom has all kinds of time to drive to W. VA to see her boyfriend but not enough time to ever buy her kids underwear. Every bit of underwear they have is because I bought it for them! And most of their clothes too! I took Reid shopping for school supplies- we had to discuss his organizational strategy since that was a challenge for him last year :-P I hope the binder we got him helps.

Other than that I read, (finished the book I was reading finally!) and read a second easy read (see my FB page) yesterday and watched the 2 Chronicles of Narnia movies which I hadn't seen before, and the Phillies games.

  • Good Morning!

My weekend was good.  We decided we were going to start Netflix, and DH had to work all day Saturday (I did get him to the Gym in the morning though) so I started watching Dexter Season 1, and got sucked in.  Then Saturday night we went over to a friends place and hung out.   Sunday we just ran some errands, nothing too exciting.

  • Ahhhh happy monday :P  We picked our cover and page style for our wedding album w/ photographer on Saturday. She included 2 prints for us which was a nice surprise, so now my empty frames have been picture-ized :) We also FINALLY bought curtains for the living room.

Yesterday we cleaned the crap out of the house and then took a long bath w/ champagne. It was so nice and I am pissed that I'm at work now :P

  • We had a fun filled weekend. Got up early Saturday morning to drive to Austin to visit DH's best friend before he went off to seminary school. We got around 10 and played games until it was close to tee time for the boys. I don't play golf (tried, but it was never pretty) so I spent the day with DH's other best friends gf. We rode around in the golf cart, drinking crown and cokes in the 100 degree heat, and chatting away. That night bbf #1's parents held a going away party. We had lots of great food and more drinking.

Sunday....was recovery day. The drive home was not fun, but oh well...

This week is going to be busy. We are having the house builder come back out to fix several problems. Other than that, we have no big plans...give it until Labor day weekend...That is when the weekends will stay busy (thanks to college and pro football!!!).

  • My weekend was great, but exhausting. Friday night I went out for sushi with two of my closest girlfriends.  Saturday morning I headed into the Bronx to go to the Yankees game with DH. We got home from the game at 5:30, took a quick nap, showered and then headed back into the city for my friend's goodbye party - he's going to EU for three months.

Yesterday was my sister's bday so we headed down to Philly. We took her to breakfast and then went to the Phillies game. It was fun and they won but they had an almost 2 hour rain delay!  By the time the game was done DH and I were starving. Since we had to stop by my mom's to drop something off we decided to get dinner by her house, and went to the restaurant where my bridal shower was.  We didn't get home until almost 10 PM and pretty much passed out.

I don't have much going on this week, although my close friend's wedding is on Saturday and I'm taking off from work Friday to help her with stuff. She's kicking off the festivities with a boat ride around NYC Friday night. That should be fun!

  • It was a quiet weekend here.  Friday night DH didn't get home until almost 9 then had to go back to work at 1015ish.  Saturday I went to a craft/art festival with my friend and her mom.  Sunday we were lazy.  We hung out and I made a yummy dinner for us.

  • Puppy sat at my parents house for my dog and had friends over for a fantastic meal on Saturday. On Sunday I went to a baby shower and decided to forgo food shopping in the monsoons and did laundry instead. However its still raining today and I'm not looking forward to going food shopping tonight.
  • Morning Ladies!!!

I had my garage sale on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  We did okay.  Main thing is I got rid of a lot of stuff and now have my house back!!!

Saturday evening I mowed lawn, took puppy for a walk and watched the Packer Game.

Sunday was church, made lunch, watched a few movies, picked weeds (uck) and went for a long walk.

Feeling so tired today that I wish I could lay down and take a nap right now!!

  • Happy Monday ladies!  I had a good weekend (in Texas on vacation), but I am glad to finally be done with traveling for a while and get back to a routine!  I spent most of the weekend with my cousins' kids (12 kids under 10) and am recovering from the onslaught of little kids cooties! At least now I can say I'm immune! :P

  • Friday night I made dinner (sloppy Joe's anyone?) and got together all the stuff that I had to take to a luncheon that my Mom & I were giving Saturday.

Saturday morning SD & I get up & get ready, pack the car & head over to my parents' house (30 min. away). The luncheon was a big sucess. Especially since the bride- to - be's Mom doesn't eat meat or sugar or white flour or anything white for that matter.  We then left Mom's @ 3pm & went home & did a few things around the house then changed clothes & went to a party for the same couple that night . We dropped SD off @ Nelson's parent's house on the way.

On Sunday we were exhaused so we skipped church but did go over to DH's parent's house for lunch. Whe we came home I did some of the laundry, organized the living room & practically dropped dead for a 3 hour nap.I was so tired but couldn't relax so I was helped by a small glass of wine.

Tonight I'm going to the gym & then watching New Jersey Housewives. Danielle (on NJHW) reminds me of DH exwife so it helps keep me on my toes. Not kidding!

I hope we all have a great week. I'm already ready for the weekend. How 'bout you?
