Ugh, soaking wet

These kinds of days make me miss my old job in the 'burbs when I could drive to free, covered parking and only have to be in the rain for 15 seconds.  My 10-minute walk from public transpo to the office has left the whole front of my pant legs sopping wet.  Not the best way to start a Monday morning.

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: Ugh, soaking wet

  • I actually had to bust out the rain boots today. Ugh. It's a good day to stay home and sleep!
  • I remember those days of having to walk across fanieul hall and city hall plaza to get from the bus to work and having the thighs of my pants soaked from the wind blowing the rain everywhere!
  • yes, this weather is awful. i stupidly decided to wear sandals today and not only are my feet soaked but they're freezing. and the weather is very very depressing. and definitely the perfect day to stay in bed!

Yep, this pretty much describes my morning to a T.  Makes me wish I could wear some kind of waterproof pant!

My boss just called me and said it was freezing there!

"Freezing" is probably overstating it a little, it's just cooler because of the rain and wind, but my guess is it's still in the high 60s.  Compared to the hot summer we've been having it probably does feel a little chilly to some.

  • She just got back from 2 weeks in FL, so yes, that would feel cold to her! She is also from N. MA and commutes a little over an hour so maybe the temps are a little chillier up there (and at the crack of dawn to boot!)

  • The bottoms of my pants are still wet even though I've been inside for over 2.5 hours.

Yikes!  I was kind of wishing this morning that we had those forced air hand dryers in the bathroom.
