XP: Can Kosher salt be subbed for "canning" salt?
The big thing is to not used iodized, right? I'd rather avoid having to
buy yet another type of salt to the 4 that I have already!

A Spring Day on the Katy Trail
I followed the direction of something I read online last year and ran some kosher salt through the food processor before using it.
Didn't like it, my pickles were way too salty.
I have a little mom & pop hardware store that carries it.
Locally in NoVA, I've seen it in some Shoppers.
I found it at the grocery store, they had a canning section near the other food storage stuff (tupperware, foil, etc) and the canning/pickling salt was there.
