Making Deodorant

Does anyone have experience with this?  I'm going to follow this receipe:  http://simplifyingthesimplelife.typepad.com/simple/2010/02/just-eat-it-.html

Is it really that simple that I mix them up and I have deodorant?  I got the exact same coconut oil as well.  I just want to make sure I make it right the first time.

 Thanks

Re: Making Deodorant

  • Yeah, I used to use a similar recipe.  It worked great for about a month and then I broke out in a horrible rash and had to stop using it.  I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin and do shave my armpits.  The combo of those two things and the deodorant was bad news for me.  But it did work!
  • It works for me! That is very similar to my recipe, though I also add tea tree oil and use a bit different ratio. I cannot use it within 12 hours of shaving or the baking soda will burn my pits. But, other than that it ROCKS!
