Travel Poll

We are planning a weekend getaway in October.

I've narrowed it down to two choices (because we can stay there for "free"):  1.  Boyne Falls or 2. Wisconsin Dells

Boyne Falls
-3 hr 20 min drive
-Been here before twice
-Will "cost" 3,100 pts for a two bedroom condo

Wisconsin Dells
-6 hr, 40 min drive
-Never been there before
-Will "cost" 1,000 pts for a 2 bedroom cabin

We are planning on leaving on a Friday morning and staying until Sunday afternoon.  If we choose to go to Wisconsin, we coul easily leave on Thursday night to get a jumpstart on the drive.  T will be 9 months at the time and will be coming with.

Re: Travel Poll

  • I would much rather visit a place I've never been before rather than a place I'd been to twice.

  • I said the Dells even though it is very touristy! However it should be a nice relaxing getaway.  Any chance is Lake Geneva on your list of places for your timeshare.
  • wisconsin dells sounds like fun.,

  • I'd drive an extra 3 hours to save $2,000 no question!  Even with a 9 month old.

  • The only thing is that 6 hours is a lot of driving to do two days within a three day time period with a little one.  That would be the only thing for me.

If you had a longer break between driving there and back, it would be better.

    I know.  Lot of driving!

We have the first full week of September off.  Maybe I can squeeze in a 3 or 4 days trip there.  Hope it's not too short notice.  I'll check.

It's actually timeshare points, not dollars.  Shoot we don't even spend $2000 on a weeklong trip to Mexico.  LOL.

Ooooohhhh okay that makes much more sense.  In that case, I'd go to the closer place.
