This is the first time I've visited this board, but I'm hoping that someone here will be able to help! Our new house has gorgeous bathrooms made pretty much out of marble...my counter, tub, and shower are all marble, and I really don't know what the best way to keep it clean is.
Some of the cleaners I've found basically say don't use this on marble, so now I'm afraid that if it doesn't specifically say that it's safe for marble, I'll end up ruining the bathroom!
Also, I'm 18 weeks pregnant, so I'm a little wary of most cleaning supplies at this point anyways. If anyone has suggestions of great (preferably green/non-toxic) ways to keep marble clean, that would be great!
Re: tips for cleaning marble?
I'll tell you what NOT to use: vinegar. You want to be careful with acids on marble, and many chemical cleaners are too harsh.
I use dishsoap & water on our marble island countertop, and dry it with a rag when it's done. I steam clean it if I think it needs sanitzing. Sorry, I don't use any cleaners specifically for marble, but I've seen them available from online stores.
I have marble in my bathroom.
I use windex multi surface - with vinegar. Safe on marble.
I love it, it gets the marble nice and shiny
