places to stay in Tucson?
Good evening Phoenix! 
My husband and I are going to the Arizona/Iowa football game on September 18th and I was wondering if any of you could give us recommendations for places to stay? I took a glance at the Tucson board and saw that it averages about 2 posts a month, LOL, so I thought I'd give it a try over here.
We'd prefer something local - a little inn or a B&B, or a local hotel. If possible something close(r) to the university but that's not a must-have.

Yes! I live about 5 hours from Tucson so when I saw they were coming to town I jumped at the chance to go watch them.

GO HAWKS!!!!!!!! We're Hawkeyes fans too. My husband's from Iowa. He'll be at the game.
The only place I've stayed at in Tucson is Lowe's Ventana Canyon. It's a really nice resort. Honestly, I have no idea how far it is from the UofA.

H and I always stay at Loews Ventana Canyon : ) It's not right by UofA..but its not a far drive either! Plus it is a gorgeous 4 star resort!!

While you are down there make sure to eat at The Hungry Fox...they double your eggs. It's a mom and pop place that I have always loved. It's like a down home Denny's. It's on Broadway and Swan so it's not too far from the UofA.
