ok so I was googling Thank You signs for the wedding to get some ideas and I found this... Where would I find a parasel(sp?)... and also would that part be an easy DIY?

    That is super cute! Try Oriental trading and I don't know how hard it would be to put Thank You on the parasal...seems a little hard but maybe not. lol

    So I was thinking of putting Just Married like they did because then we can make a collage for the wedding announcements, since there were people that didn?t make the guest list.

    Ok, I bought the Parasol from here and then I just bought a paint brush and paint from Micahels. I then went on my computer and typed out what I wanted to say. I had to do this a couple of times to get the sizing right. Then cut out the words and with a black sharpie outline the words and then paint in. Then let it dry and if you want you can paint it again but I wouldnt since the Parasol is thin. I just did touch ups

    I don't know how to DIY (although I know you would be able to!), but my GF used this website to get a custom logo made and then used it to add on to all of her designs. They also make things like you are looking at. I'm not sure of the pricing, but her logo was $25 and it is displayed on this site.

    Kristie and Vanessa, thank you for the suggestions I saved those websites to my favorites =)   Danielle theknot told me this morning 59 days! I am getting so excited, I made a to do list right now and I have about 18 more things to do without this new project so I feel pretty good with where we are at.  Went for my alterations yesterday and they ended up ordering a new dress in a size smaller! Idk if you saw the post on the knot about that. =) I couldn't believe it, but I am now pretty excited about it...

    I've gotten a lot of things for my wedding "pre-owned"... it wouldn't bother me a bit!  LOL

    It's white with a light wood handle/spokes..  I think the letters could use a little touching up (and I'm not great at DIY stuff), but it's pretty neat!  Maybe you can touch it up and make it look better for both of us if you want to use it (I won't be offended either way, I promise!).  =)

    maybe it's just me, but the 'just married' on the umbrella thing (or whatever your fancy word for it is) looks photoshopped to me. that would be way easier than trying to paint it on yourself haha. really cute idea, though!

    It kinda does because it's so close to the edge of the PARASOL!  Shannon. But mine isnt, I worked hard on that sucker lol

    Size smaller?!!! That is fantastic! I probably did see the post, but there are a zillion posts up there every day.

    I need to stop making to do lists and just get some stuff done. Flower girl baskets this weekend and sitting with the DJ. We gotta plan the music and I need to stop this rap nonesense once and for all (and decide if we can get some radio edit versions for the ones we really want).

     59 days, its so close! I got so excited when mine said 50.

    That is a great idea! because then we could potentially make one as a wedding announcement and then redo it as a thank you! Thanks Shannon, i would have never thought of that =)

    DH and I did that and we put them on the front of our thank you cards that we made on kodak. They came out super cute and everyone thought they were so original when in reality it happens alot :)
