  • Dammit...I'm going to have to read these, aren't I? If I generally hate post-apocalyptic stuff, is it really different enough to enjoy? For example, I was very meh on The Book of Eli, and thought reading The Road was a special brand of torture.

    I think so. It has sci fi aspects to it, if he's into that. The narrator is a girl and there's elements of a love triangle, but it's not cheesy or the main plot or anything.
