Mini-Vent (a little long)

So I made plans with my cousin, B, who lives in NYC for this afternoon (she's here this week to visit family), to take her wine tasting n' spend the night (I would drive 45 mins to pick her up, we hit up wineries on one side of Seneca Lake and then go to my house).  We made these plans b/c her sister, H, was not coming....well a week later...H changed her mind and decided to travel to NY too.  So B and I extended the invite to her, she said ok.

Now,  jump ahead a week, they are here in NY (45 mins away from me - one way), it's this past Wednesday the 25th.  This is the convo in a nutshell;

B: H and I decided we are not going to spend the night b/c they need to make plans to see their other cousin (not related to me) tomorrow. (Who, I would like to add lives 10 mins from where they are staying and they have been here since Sunday the 22nd....WTF have they been doing all week????)

Me: Ok, are you driving separate or do you just want to cancel?  (my thoughts - I'm not driving 45 mins to pick them up, take them wine tasting, drive them back 45 mins, then drive home 45 mins)

B:  No, we want to do go...we are working on getting a car and might make other plans with their cousin.

J: Ok get back to me and let me know

A few hours later....

B:  H thinks you should come down here and we'll go to a few wineries here.

After 30 mins of debating (b/c I felt like they just wanted me to be their taxi driver, they have NO clue how far I live, nor have any clue how far apart some of the wineries are in their area...that is why Seneca wine trail is better), I even mapped out where they are compaired to wineries in their area (2 are 5-10 mins away from them...if they really want to go, they can take themselves) and talking to my mom in which I also learned that there's a family dinner that Dh and I didn't get invited to b/c of this GTG with my cousins...

J: Let's just skip it and I will see you at dinner on Friday at the G-parents house.

B: She agreed.

For some reason I am still annoyed 2 days later.  I mean, was I in the wrong for canceling b/c I'm being selfish about driving or couldn't figure out the most logic solution in which I could drive the least???  They  have been to my house before, they should know the distance...are they just being clueless about things? 

I don't know, can anyone explain this to me?

I would be annoyed too, that would be three hours of driving just to see them for a little bit. You tried and that's all you can do.

I agree, I'd be annoyed too!  Sometimes people get blinders on when they're on vacation, and they forget that the people they are visiting aren't necessarily on vacation too.  You did your best to offer up something fun to do, and it didn't work out.  FWIW, I wouldn't have bailed on you!
