Looks like The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is the book of choice. I just got it at the bookstore so I can read it on vacation next week. YAY!

Couple of questions...

Who wants to be in the book club?

What preference do you have for a night? (I'm thinking we should meet once a month at the same time, like every 3rd Monday or something)

Anyone volunteer their place for the first month (sometime in October)? (Then they can pick the next book to read)

I'll let the 3 girls that don't frequent the board know about our plans - I know they were all interested.

I would like to be in the book club.  I will do my best to gtg every month. As long as I can find someone to watch Peanut I will come.  If I can't make it I will still read the book of the month

I'm in!  I am usually good any night but Tuesday (I work until 10).  I can't host in October, but maybe November?

Me! Mondays are actually pretty good for me as well. I'm always happy to host, but I'm the only one who lives WAY up here. What if we met at a coffee shop or something instead of a house?

I want to join!  I might be able to host in October also.  It would just need to be after Columbus Day.  I would also be cool with doing it at a coffee shop or something.  I'll go grab that book soon.  I've been wanting to read it!

A coffee shop would be good too!  Uncommon ground on Western is nice or maybe the Starbucks in Stuy Plaza (trying to think of places in Albany, middle of the road).  It doesn't matter to me if we have it at a house or at a coffee shop.  I just want to see you ladies!

Why don't we start out at a coffee shop, and see how it goes. If it is too hectic/loud/etc., we can re-evaluate. I haven't started the book yet, but I am really excited about this!

I'm in.  I think a coffee shop to start is a good idea.  There is a cute little back room at Prof. Java's on Wolf Rd.

I'm also someone who can't meet until after 7 on weeknights (that's when our little guy goes to bed).
