Breakfast Food Ideas?

Good morning Ladies!

Tomorrow DH and I are in charge of bringing in breakfast for SS and I have no idea what to make.

Everyone has done muffins, biscuits & Doughnuts.  I like these things, but would really like to be a little different.

Any easy / tasty suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! :o)

TIA

Re: Breakfast Food Ideas?

  • What about bagels + cream cheese? With a fruit salad? Or a breakfast casserole- depending on if you could keep it warm.

Or how about something like this?

     Cream Cheese Breakfast Bars

2 8-oz packages of cream cheese, softened

    2 packages of crescent rolls

    1 cup sugar

    1 tsp vanilla

1 stick butter or margarine, melted

topping: 1/4 cup sugar mixed with 1 tsp cinnamon

Layer one package of crescent rolls in bottom of 10X13 inch ungreased pan.  Cream together cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar and vanilla. Spread over crescent rolls. Layer one package of crescent rolls over the cream cheese mixture and pour melted butter over the top of everything. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture over butter and crescent rolls. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cut into bars.

  • Or what about some kind of quiche? Since those can be good hot or at room temp.
