Any dinner suggestions?

We are having the ILs over for dinner tonight and I am stumped.

  • Well, what do you have on hand? I threw a pork loin, potatoes, carrots and onions into the crock pot this morning. The Meijer brand 22oz packaged pork loins are on sale at Meijer right now. (sale ends today) They are only like $4 or $5. They are $3 off from their regular price. I bought 4 of them at that price!

We don't have much on hand so I will be heading to the store anyway. That is a good deal on the pork loins and I will be picking some up when I head that way soon! I was thinking of throwing something on the grill since it is so nice outside today and complimenting it with a fruit pizza which I have been craving for months.

  • You could do burgers on the grill. Mix a pound of hamburger with a packet of hidden valley ranch and it's pretty yummy. Gives the burgers a little extra kick.

Or, depending on what time they're coming over, marinade some chicken in italian dressing in a ziploc bag and throw that on the grill. Both ideas are super yummy and easy.

Good luck and enjoy whatever you end up making!

Totally trying this sometime this week. I LOVE the ranch packets and I always use them when I stuff chicken so I am sure this is delish too.

  • Fruit pizza? Recipe? Smile
  • You get a pre-made sugar cookie roll and roll it out onto a pizza pan, then you spread cream cheese on the cookie after it is out of the oven and top with whatever fruit you want! Simple and delicious.

I have made just a strawberry one where you get strawberry pie filling (in the produce section) and spread it over the cream cheese and then top with sliced strawberries which is fantastic too.

I am sure there are other recipes for a cream cheese mixture but I like it just plain cream cheese.
