Thank you!  That's really sweet.  I feel ok...it's just a giant pain to deal with.  I have to wear these plastic retainer brace things over my teeth...top and bottom.  They are uncomfortable and make me drool    So, I'm not in pain, as such, just uncomfortable.

The upside is that I can't eat when I have them in...so it has really cut down on the between meal eating and I have already lost 3 pounds.  I'm also not talking as much, which my friends consider quite amusing!  Mostly it is a waiting game.  I have to do this for another 5 weeks or so.  They will check me weekly to see if there is any improvement.

If it's good, then I will only need to have a wire behind them to reinforce for a good long while.  I have 3 teeth affected.  They are all in the front.  So, if they don't grow back together, I am looking at anywhere from four to 10 thousand dollars in dental bills for implants or bridges and crowns.  That's a lot of money to pay for being a clutz.

Sometimes life just throws you curveballs!  Thanks for caring

I knew I missed something - went back and re-read fabulous friday.  Wow - that totally stinks.  My Dad is a dentist and I have been the recipient of phonecalls at home for emergencies like this and have had to track him down to run over to see someone right away.  If they got to it fast and the root was intact, you stand a good chance of having it mend itself.  Good luck and hope all goes well!!
