Shopping Question

He ladies, I am wanting to buy some new clothes/outfits for our honeymoon, we are going to California, well more like Disneyland.  So I want to have something comfy, cute maybe some layers incase we get toasty walking around the parks but not to touristy. I was thinking some cute leggings with faux ugg boots with some longer top?s.  Do you guys have an suggestions where I could find something that fits the bill while not breaking the bank?   Please keep in mind it will be October in Cali so it is not like October in AZ =)

TIA

Re: Shopping Question

  • We went to Disneyland last October and it was really, REALLY hot and humid during the day, and then a little breezy at night (light jacket breezy, not like parka status).

I think Uggs would be really uncomfy in October.  I'm thinkin capris or bermuda shorts with some comfy sneaks are your best bet.

As far as shopping goes, Kohl's always has great prices and the Kohl's cash is awesome for future shopping trips.  Shopping date!!!

The OC can be quite hot in October.  My bday is in October and I remember having pool parties as a kid.

My suggestion is just basic jeans and a cute top.

  • I agree with Kohls. Also, hunting through Ross and TJ Maxx are worth finding a good deal. I LOVE H&M too, even though it's a hike for us in the West Valley. Down in Avondale (Dysart and the 10) there is Rue21 and a place called Styles which have lots of cheap, trendy pieces. There should be lots of summer stuff to layer for sale right now in the mall too! Have fun SHOPPING! =)

  • PS If you head to H&M, let me know! I would LOVE to go soon for my October trip to MI. I'm ALWAYS up for shopping!!! lol

  • For the leggings and long tops, try out JC Penney, they've been going uphill lately and always have some good deals going on. I've gotten some really cute tunic tops there.

As for the Uggs, don't know if you've been to disneyland before but your feet will REALLY hurt if you don't wear shoes that have good support. I wore converse to disneyworld and my feet were killing me for awhile. I would say cute flats or tennis shoes over uggs or your feet will be sweaty and achey.

they have a lot of longer shirts which i really like, and they were like $5-$8

  • I went in late September last year and it was hot. A pair of jeans and a nice top would be good. A light sweater for the evenings but nothing too heavy. Plus if you go on the water rides you might get soaked like I did, so not sure how leggings would work, never wore them.

    Have fun!

I was thinking this exact thing. I say no to Uggs or imitation Uggs. At least not for the park.

  • We went in October 2 years ago and it was hot. I wore jeans and a t-shirt and had to go back to the hotel to change into shorts. Do take a jacket in case you don't intend on going back to the hotel for dinner or to rest before night time.

Also, look for a little purse that you can just take your ID, credit card and cash in. It helps so much not to lug around a big bag or purse. Nick always takes his backpack and we stuff it with snacks and water.

  • Jenn, you need to buy a Camelback before your trip.  Its like a water bottle back pack.  It has a small storage compartment for little things like a wallet, make up bag, or snacks.  We used it when we went to Disney last year, and just refilled it throughout the day at water fountains.
