How was everyone's weekend? do anything fun? Well, we got our nice "treat" of 70 degree weather last week but it jumped back up to almost 90 again yesterday. Our nephews played their first HS varsity game of the season Friday & got their butts handed to 'em.
We spent yesterday cooking out and swimming with friends of ours. Amanda is so good with their kids and I roped myself into letting them spend the night this Friday since our friends were in a bind for a sitter. I consider this "babysitting practice" for Amanda.

Re: It's Monday again...
Happy Monday! Work was crazy towards the end of the week, and I (gasp!) could not scrape together a few minutes to check in with you guys - here's hoping this week is a whole lot calmer :-)
I actually had a wonderfully relaxing weekend! H and I hung out at home on Saturday, which we almost never get to do anymore; we had some workers coming to clean the carpets and upholstery, as well as a delivery later on Saturday, so Sat. was definitely a homebody day... and Sunday was blazing hot, so we sort of took a lazy day and hung out together at home again, reading the paper and watching golf. After the busy weekends of the past couple of months, it was a welcomed relief!
Ahh how did this happen already? Monday, how I loathe you.
This weekend we managed to be productive on Saturday (gasp!!!) and got everything done aroudn the house and all errands done - including grocery shopping. I NEVER get this done before Sunday evening so that was amazing. Saturday we had pina coladas at the pool (so fun!) and then it stormed so we watched movies. Yesterday just hung out and did nothing b/c we could. I have a 4-day week this week that I'm praying will fly by and my friend and her bf are coming to visit Thursday night - Monday!
This was a productive weekend for us. DH went to Garwood (about an hour west of Houston) to get his cousin to help him fix up our grill for tailgatting (Saturday here we come!). They are also making a custom grill for us too..
I didn't go with DH, so I spent the day cleaning. I had the kitchen looking so nice and DH messes it up Sunday by forgetting he had put cokes in the freezer....yeah...have a nice mental picture of that?
So Sunday I spent cleaning again and running errands... Oh and last night we booked our first anniversary trip! We decided to go to the Bahamas for 6 days 5 nights! Can't wait!
I am so looking forward to this weekend! Three wonderful days off! I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
We had a pretty laid back weekend...or at least I did. DH worked all weekend so I was home by myself. We are dog sitting for my parents so I took them out a few times to play. Yesterday I cleaned a little around the house, but overall it was a pretty boring weekend...
And today I have my first Subbing job of the school year, Jr. High Social Science....should be interesting. Hopefully they are all on their best behavior!
Other than some drama that I'll be talking about in a different post, my weekend was fantastic. One of my best friends got married on Saturday. On Friday night she kicked off the festivities by hosting a dinner cruise in NY Harbor - it was an amazing time. The wedding itself was beautiful and really fun, my friend looked gorgeous, and I think I was more emotional at her wedding than I was at my own!
Yesterday was recovery day, although we did manage to leave the house to get brunch with a friend of ours.
TTC #1 since 4/10, Dx: MFI IVF planned for April/May
We had a good weekend. Friday night we went to a KISS concert, which was a lot of fun, they put on a good show, especially for being in their 60's.
Saturday we went to a fundraiser cornhole tournament. We also did a workout and swam some and hung out. Then Saturday night we went out to watch the UFC fight with some friends.
Sunday we cleaned the house some, relaxed and ran some errands.
I am only working 3 days this week, so hopefully it flies by!
Yesterday, we spent the whole day at the beach - it was the MOST PERFECT beach day!! We came home and I made turkey meatballs (yum) and sweet potatoes and we just chilled out and watched TV. Such a relaxing day. Other than that, uneventful weekend. I'm already looking forward to this weekend!!!!
We had a nice weekend, DH did his liver flush Fri night and I had a margarita while hanging out in bed with him (he wanted to take it easy and relax). Saturday I made us a nice early lunch of fish and a salad, then I cleaned the floors downstairs (vacuumed and swept/mopped). We went to BJ's to check out if we wanted to do a membership there instead of Costco, I wrote down the prices of a lot of stuff we buy to compare. Then we went to Red Robin for dinner, then to our friend's house after dark until like 1:30am! We were talking about all kinds of stuff, it was a great time.
Sunday we went to another friend's for a BBQ/party from 2-7pm. Got to see the same friends from Sat night and some others. I did my grocery shopping last night at like 8:30 which was nice b/c it was so quiet at the store.
All in all a great time!

We had so much fun!!! Almost came home with another dog but decided against it.

Well, you all know about my Sunday
, and I came in late to work today... still haven't really gotten going 'cos I'm trying to play catch-up here, lol
Saturday was a totally lazy day, I did laundry and actually spent most of the day setting up my blog.
It was nice to have had a relatively quiet weekend at home this weekend, because last weekend was crazy... DH's aunt threw his uncle a 60th birthday party, in Massachusetts, so we drove to FIL's house on Friday night in CT and then continued on to MA the next morning. Partied all day and into the night. Then woke up at 6:30 the following morning (last Sunday) so we could drive back to Queens for a 2:00 pm wedding. We ended up being an hour and a half early, which was great, because we got to hang with the bride and groom for a bit, and also got to see them sign their ketubah.
Fun wedding (and weekend) but by the time we got back to NJ we were beat. I took last Monday off to recuperate.
And next weekend we fly to South Carolina to visit MIL and DH's grandparents (grandma is not doing well, unfortunately).
Whew!
(meanwhile at work I am busy coordinating shipping for an exhibition that is ending and I need to get all the loans back to their owners... will involve another cross-country truck trip... aie!)

It is a dreary Monday here
My weekend consisted of an evening wedding on Saturday for my friend who was my maid of honor (I think that everything that could go wrong, did!) We left as soon as they did their dances. Sunday DH and I went to a little charity car show, he took home a trophy too! They raised almost $400 for the Food Pantry and I don't know how many canned goods were brought in (canned goods or a donation were the entry fees).
