Living Together?

Did you live with any other man (besides DH) before you got married? I mean, a boyfriend type, not just a platonic roommate.

I did. One boyfriend for about 8 months. My apartment kept flooding so it was pretty convenient to just move in with him instead. My H lived with his ex for almost 4 years.

Nope. I had one (female) roommate all through college and grad school round one. In fact, the only reason DH and I moved in together when we did -- we would've done it eventually, but we did after only 5 months of dating -- is because she moved out of state and I had no one else to room with/no where to live. 

For the first six months DH and I lived together, we actually had seperate bedrooms in a two-bedroom apartment (that just the two of us lived in!) because we wanted to acclimate to living together slowly.

Nope. I lived at home through college, then I lived by myself for a year and then moved in with DH.

Nope. But DH is the only guy I've dated since being old enough to vote.

Nope, I stayed over at the guy's apt that I dated long-term before DH about every night but I lived in the same complex so I would get up in the morning and go home to shower/get ready for work.  We broke up in March 2005, I bought my house in April 2005, met DH in August 2005 and he moved in with me the following year.  He had lived with (and been engaged to) his ex-gf for about a year during his senior year of college but moved back in with his parents when they broke up in April 2005.

Nope. I never thought I'd ever live with a boyfriend until I met DH because I had seen the fallout that several friends experienced from this situation. Only when we'd talked openly about marriage and his lease was ending did we decide that it was right for us.

Nope. I spent nights/weekends over my ex's place but did not move in. I also didn't live with DH until we got married. It was just the way the lease on my apartment worked out with the timing of the proposal to our wedding day. He proposed in August '08 & I just signed my renewal. We decided we didn't want to pay the ridiculous amount to break my lease.

In college, I'd stay over at my boyfriend's place 6-7 nights a week, but I did have my own apartment to go back to when needed. I didn't live with my husband until after we were married (even though we'd bought the house 6 months before the wedding... I was too lazy to move all my junk!)

I only lived with my DH, but we did it for 3 years before getting married. We dated in college so I never was in a situation to live with someone else.
