Have you ever been to one?

I've been to about 5 and LOVE them. I haven't seen one here though because I don't know who's good and who to avoid. I'd really LOVE to go see one though.

Does anyone have any rec's??

ETA: I do not go to the tarrot card readers that you see huge neon signs for. I go to legit Psychics! lol

I havn't been to one but have always wondered if their predictions were acurate. My friend was roomates with a wiccan and she had friends who were supossed psychics. I thought they fed my friend a load of crap so i never really paid much attention

I haven't and never will, it's stupid. It may not have happened to you but my aunt went to one and my cousin and ever since their lives have been hell. My Grandmother told us to never go to one because bad things will happen and yup, my Ex-Aunt and Cousin have had bad luck since.

LOL oooook! Well, I don't think it's stupid and bad things haven't happened to me since. I also believe that you can't let what they tell you run your life. You take it with a grain of salt and just because they tell you something, doesn't mean it's 100% going to happen.

This, somepeople take what they say to heart and make it happen instead of letting life take it's natural path.  i.e. Psychics say "i see you living in Hawaii and sucessful in a beach side business" person who takes it to the heart then leave sells their house moves to Hawaii fails at the business got bankrupt then blames the psychics for ruining their life because they forced/rushed something to happen that in actuallity might never have been meant to be.

I have never been to one, but i have alway been curious. I believe that there are some legit ones out their or even mediums out there...

Mrs. Rita has been around for a LOOOOOOOOOONG time. She opened in 1969. She's in Tempe, on University just west of Mill. I guess if she were horrible, she wouldn't be operating still. lol.  Gin Blossoms even wrote a song about her.

Really- to each your own. However this contradicts with my religious beliefs so it's not something I've ever investigated or inquired about. My personal opinion is that it's a waste of time and money- but that's just mine- if you enjoy it- go for it!! Ive heard there are a few reputable ones in the Sedona area. Again it's far but may be a fun day trip with DH and the puppy? I has always been curious about pet psychics!

She told me I had a little girl hovering around my aura, and that meant I would have a daughter soon. Pretty sure I was 17 at the time. I'm now 24 and no daughters running around. Maybe I'm just childlike? Or maybe I had a twin that died in utero! (Kidding.)

Ack!  I totally remember when that happened!  That was hilarious (in hindsight of course :P)

I see them more as a fun, entertaining thing to do rather than any sort of really accurate way of predicting what path your life is going to take. I definitely believe there are people who are more intuitive and can "pick up" on stuff that others can't. And I'm sure there are lots of other people out there who are just putting on a show. Either way, I think it's interesting and entertaining. And I def agree that you need to take what they say with a grain of salt. Otherwise it just becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. But I think if nothing else, it's interesting to see what they pick up on from you, what their impressions of you are, and it sort of gets you thinking in a way that maybe you weren't before.
