f/u to black lab post below!

good new ladies!!!   score one more for Craigslist!!!

i searched CL and found someone who lost a blk lab over a month ago.  i called an left a msg for them.  i was pretty sure it wasn't going to work out.  she called me back and we were going to meet up for her to look at the dog.

i was gone for two hours and when i got back to get the dog to take to meet the lady i noticed that he was bleeding pretty heavily from his nose!  i was shocked as he seemed fine when i left.

i threw him in the car and staredt racing up to the vet's office, i called the lady on the way and told her to meet me there.  she took one look at him and knew it was her dog!  it was awesome!  the vet saw him right away and is going to keep him for the night.  he has erlichiosis, a tick disease, and needs meds and IV fluids.  the vet said it was good i brought him in when i did.

::gives evil eye to neighbor who saw dog weeks ago roaming around::

the poor dog was covered in ticks.  :(     i'm going to give said neighbor a piece of my mind.    whew!

  • Awww, I'm glad you found the owner and he got some medical treatment!
  • Aww that's sad he's so sick but I'm glad you took him in and that he's getting help.  That's awesome that he's reunited with his owner!!
  • I agree, so glad you found his owner and got him to the vet!

Now, hopefully she will get him his shots and get the ol snip snip taken care of!  :)

  • So glad to hear that you found his owner! Sorry to hear he's so sick, but hopefully he'll make a full recovery! The owner must be so relieved!

Agree with Bri--hopefully she gets him his shots and uh.. taken care of down there.
