What a day

I just spent my lunch hour boo hooing.  I'm such a ninny.  This new job is kicking my but. I just can't seem to wrap my brain around everything.  It's such a basic job but I'm really struggling.  My head is killing me.

  • ((hugs))

i'm sorry you are going through that. i bet you are just feeling very overwhelmed. i've learned that if you take things step by step, it gets a little easier. i'm sure you will get the hang of it in no time. :)

  • I'm sorry.  It's so hard getting adjusted to a new job when you have so many new things to learn.  :(  Forgive me if you've already told us- but what kind of job are you doing?
  • ((hugging tippy))  Thank You!!!!

  • I felt like that with my last job.  Just take a deep breath... Remind yourself that you are a beautiful, smart, and grown woman.  I'm not sure what your job is, but if it helps, ask questions until you truly understand what it is you need to do.  Doesn't matter if they look at you crazy for asking a few times.  They would rather you get it done the right way quickly than not. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and confident with what you have to do. :-)

I am the Deputy Director at a local airport.  We don't have any commercial flights.  It's mostly private planes and  LOTS of helicopters that take people out to the oil rigs to work.  I've only been here about a month and half.  It's just completely different from what I'm used to.

  • I'm sorry you are having a rough day...hopefully it'll get better Smile
  • When I first started the job I'm at now I felt the same way.  I just felt like I couldn't doing and I was afraid I would get my head bit off for asking the same questions over and over.  I've been doing this for 2 years now and while I'm still struggling, it has gotten easier, and I've gotten better about asking questions, and I still have my head! Stick out tongue Just hang in there and try to go in to work everyday feeling confident.  The more you do, the easier it gets.
    Siggy coming soon....

I was just going to page you!  I had no idea you were working at an airport.  Which one?  DH has probably flown into it before!

You're going to do great, dear! It's always hard starting out at a new job, no matter how "easy" you think the job is!!! Hang in there!
