Are any of you ladies in the path of the hurricane? Luckily it looks like it is going to miss N FL.

DH, SD & I are planning to the NC coast this weekend. My family always goes on Labor Day weekend. I hope this doesn't ruin our plans. We've all been looking forward to this for months, especially SD.
I have my fingers crossed that Earl takes a sharp right out to sea.
Stay safe east coast ladies.
Looks like it's going to be a busy month with the rest of the hurricanes forming out there.

Kinda sorta! Last I heard, it is heading up the coast, as mentioned - but it's supposed to turn and head up the coast right in the Mid-Atlantic region...right where yours truly is...
So, while it looks like it should miss us now, if it decides to change paths even a little to the left, we may get brushed with it pretty good as it goes up the seaboard....and as our past winter just showed us, the forecasters can forecast all they want, but the weather does what it wants to do...haha!!
Funny thing is, before our 3 massive back to back snowstorms this past winter, whenever the forecasters said we'd get missed, I'd pretty much go "Yeah, nothing serious hits MD much, anyway!"...but, er, these days I'm paying a little more attention to the "tracking"!
In coastal VA we are being given a 30% chance of being hit, not too high , but high enough. We have some tall trees in out backyard that scare me. And when we were hit by Isabel a number of years ago it was only a tropical storm, and it did major damage around here.
I hope that everyone stays safe!
DH & I at the Light Festival
Us too! We're also in NH and it's looking like we'll get hit with rain & wind Friday morning into the evening. They're saying now that it should clear by the weekend, thank goodness! DH and I are going to a football game on Saturday morning, and going down to southern MA to the TPC Boston golf tournament on Sunday. Earl better not wash out our outside weekend!
Umm, yeah... DH and I (and his sister) are supposed to be flying to South Carolina this weekend... leaving from LaGuardia on Friday night (SIL is flying to LGA from Philly and we'll be on the same flight to SC). So far, weather reports have high winds for Friday night. Things that make you go "hmmm..."
Talking to my mom last night, who will probably get hit pretty hard on Cape Cod, she pretty much assumed we weren't going anywhere, and I had to assure her that I would watch the reports carefully (and also I would hope that if conditions are bad, the planes won't fly).
So, we'll see...
