it's sooo slow...

around here!  I've actually had some time the past couple of days to be on here & it's so boring...besides Taylor's big news, of course.  What's everyone up to??  This new sched. I have (at least for orientation), I work 3 12 hr shifts, then have 5 days off, then work 3 more, so it's really nice to have the time off, but can get a lil bit boring at times.

  • Yeah, by the 3rd 12 hr shift, you're pretty beat, but it's worth it to have those 4-5 days off then.  =)

  • I'd love that schedule! What kind of work are you in?

I'm bummed that it's slow because I'm only recently able to come on here during work hours, but when I start my new work I won't be able to again!

  • Ms.Julie:  I'm a Registered Nurse in a hospital.  So what's your new job going to be??

Tay:  How's your last wk at your job going??  This is the last wk, right?

  • My new job is with another non-profit. I'm going to be training employees in electronic systems. Pretty excited!

Do you like being a nurse? I was seriously considering a career change about a year ago, went to informational sessions at schools and everything. It turns out I'd probably have to go back to school for another full 4 years to get my BSN, so it didn't work out with timing. I still think I'd love being a nurse.

Congrats on the new job!  Sounds like you'll be busy.

Umm...yes, most days I really enjoy being a nurse.  Now some days, I hate it, but I think we all have those kinds of days w/work.  That would def. stink & be a lot of work to have to do all 4 yrs for your BSN.  It's def. a rewarding career though, most days & I'm glad I got into it.  Maybe at some point in the future, it'll be the right time for you to switch.  The good part about being a nurse is there are sooo many things you can do w/the degree.  You don't have to be stuck at any certain place.  And the pay/benefits are decent.  Smile
