My E-ring is missing!!!!
And when do I notice this? This morning, in the park of all places!
I'm trying to keep calm --I don't take it off (except to clean it), so it couldn't have been left somewhere; my knuckles are still so swollen that I barely got it back on again, so it couldn't have fallen off; I doubt anyone broke into our house last night and snipped it off with tinsnips and stole it...
I suspect DH took it off my hand while I slept. My 30th bday is tomorrow, he may be doing something jewelry-related, which would be lovely if I wasn't having a coronary over where this ring is RIGHT NOW. When I called him to ask him to please tell me if he is being cute and took it, he said he did not, but neither did he get blow-his-top angry as I thought he might (not that I want to be show-offy, but that ring cost as much as a Honda! One might think he'd get a little riled up about it) He just asked if I'd left it at my mom's house yesterday (yes, it slipped off after a particularly raucous game of Scrabble) and calmly said that filing an insurance claim on it sure would be inconvenient. (???)
Of course, now I have to turn the house inside out looking for it, in all the places that I'm absolutely sure it isn't.
Sheesh. Is it too early to open the bar?

I SO know how you feel!! I lost my ring right after I had my son. I wasn't wearing it cause of the swelling and when I went to try it on it was gone! That was almost 2 years ago and it's never been found. We are almost positive that one of dh's teenage cousins stole it when we had family come over to see the baby.

found it! It was just laying there in the sheets in my bed.
I'm at a loss to guess how it came off, though. I put it back on and cannot -without the help of baby oil- get it back off! My knuckles are sooo swollen, it couldn't possibly have slipped off on its own in the middle of the night. Very, very, very wierd.
But since it's not in DH's possession, I guess I'm not getting any fantabulous sparkly thing for my bday. drat!
