Halloween Stuff Already?!?

So I noticed the other day that they Spirit Halloween Store is getting ready to open here in town, and then I went to the store and saw lots of fall/Halloween stuff out! Is it really that time already?? It seems like this summer flew by (trust me I'm not complaining) Fall is my favorite time of year and I am so excited about it's upcoming arrival!! Tomorrow marks the first day of September which means we are well on our way!!

So on that note has anyone thought of what they might be for Halloween this year? I'm a planner and find that I can usually get things cheaper if I plan ahead!! So give me some ideas

Hmmm - I haven't noticed any of the stores opening around here yet.  Last year we had Amanda one Saturday night and Mike wasn't feeling well so I took Amanda to the Spirit store to look at all the cool stuff then to Pet Smart to look at the animals, followed by a trip to COLD STONE!    I love fall too. 

I haven't been to a halloween party since i was single. I can't remember if it was '06 or '07 the last time I dressed up.  Mike's family usually goes to one at his sister's friend's house an hour and a half north of here, but the homeowner is psycho-high school- ex's cousin.  You know, the ex that wouldn't leave him alone 3 months before our wedding.  Yeah - we won't be hitting that party...

I used the gift card SIL & BIL gave us from Pier 1 today.  They didnt have umbrella stands for our patio set left, so I used it on lots of cute fall house decor.  Since it IS september 1 tomorrow I'll be digging out all my fall stuff - even though it's been in the 90s this week.  Yeah, I'm rushin' it a little.

I'm so excited about fall/halloween this year!!! I put my fall decor up today, I just couldn't wait any longer! We are planning our first halloween party. I think we have most of our costumes decided so far... my mom said she is going to be a Hershey candy bar, and my dad will be the Hershey bar with nuts! lol I think MIL is going to be a tacky tourist (she's not really into the whole dressing up thing, so I thought that this would be something simply for her to do). I think DH is just going to put his drag racing firesuit on (he's not into the costumes either) and I have a sexy racer costume I bought last year but never wore. I am also making a costume for the dog (the stuff sold in stores don't fit her).

I looovvvee Halloween! My favorite costume ever was wonder woman -- i wore a red leotard and ironed on white stars to blue little booty shorts and made a gold belt out of cardboard and fabric. It was awesome, but I wore it too many times and it fell apart. Sad

Last year DH and a couple of our guy friends were Guns N Roses and the girls were all groupies - that was fun, too. I don't have any ideas for this year yet, though.

I totally want to dress up the dog but I'm pretty sure he'd eat whatever we put on him~!

LOL Rachel - I actually dressed up as Slash a couple years ago at work. I pretty much made it; bought a black top hat at the halloween usa, got some chain at michaels to wrap around it, $1 store round sunglasses, rolled up a piece of paper to use as a "cigarette" and borrowed my cousin's blow-up guitar (it was pink, LOL).
