Housewarming gift

We are going to Charleston for the weekend for a good friend's housewarming party/first weekend of NCAA! He is a twenty six year old bachelor and does not need any household things.

What can we take as a a nice housewarming gift?

Wow, that's a hard one.  My stand by gift is always a really nice set of white towels with a bottle of wine.  However, if he needs nothing, then take him a new cooler with some beer in it.

If he likes beer or wine, you could take that. It may be a little odd to give him a plant, but that works, too. A gift card to a local restaurant.

a great gift I do a lot is a chip/dip platter and I bring it with food already in it that way they have something for the party and most bachelors don't have too many things for serving.  they have some fun ones at places like pier 1 or crate and barrel.  another idea would be a nice metal pale like you would get at crate and barrel with his favorite beer in it that way he can leave it out and it still looks nice.
