Wellness Wednesday

How has everyone been doing this week?

Re: Wellness Wednesday

  • My diet hasn't been the best, but I'm going to work on that this week (after my cheesecake lunch yesterday).  I have been running regularly and loving it!  So hopefully if the rains stays away and I get over this bug, that will continue.

On the financial health front, DH and I were able to cut our food budget by 1/3 last month!  Our goal was 1/2, so we are hoping to achieve that this month.  I think we'll be able to do it!

  • So far this week is going well for me. I officially started my half marathon training schedule this week and managed to run 4 miles outside in the blazing heat yesterday. I am trying to work out really hard every day this week b/c we are going to the lake this weekend and I will surely overindulge and skip my workouts.

Great job on the food budget! I hope your knee feels better soon.

  • I've reached the decision that for the time being, I'm going to let go of some of my expectations as far as exercise go. I've been running twice a week and sometimes getting in a 3'rd workout (typically some sort of video). It's not as much as I'd like to do, but I have a big test coming up at the end of October and am traveling a bit on the weekends too, so my focus is just elsewhere right now. On the plus side, I don't think I'm as much of a ragingbitch as the last time I was studying for a test, so I think that's a good reflection of the mental health benefit of my lowered expectations :)

I'm glad you've been enjoying your runs, Elissa, it will just get better as the weather improves!
