last night our unit was working on the inside but it was not running on the outside. My dad is HVAC certified so he came over last night and said it looks like our motor has gone bad. He said he thought it would be a couple hundred to fix it.
We went to my grandmothers storage unit and got 2 window units to use until we can get our A/C working.
I am just thankful it is not as hot as it has been.
Who let the dawgs out?

Re: A/C not working
This is a little bit funny to me, only because I seriously considered turning on our heat yesterday! It was only 64 inside our house, and probably in the low 50s outside. I kinda forgot that it really is still summer in other parts of the country!
Bummer about your A/C.

I wonder if it is the heat because ours went out on Saturday night. It was the freeon (sp?) and some part. The A/C man said a lot are going out because it has been so hot and a/c are not built for that hot of heat (unless i guess if they were in a state that got that hot)
Glad it won't cost you that much.
Glad it's working now, and that it was nothing serious!
4 of my co-worker's A/Cs have gone out this summer - it's soooo expensive to fix/replace.
