Poll: Help me spend money!

Without going into a long story, there have been a few changes at my work that resulted in getting my yearly bonus early, and I can't decide what to do with it. We have a pretty good handle on all the responsible money matters such as putting a good amount of money towards 401K, a decent amount of savings, paying extra money towards the mortgage every month, pay off the credit cards every month, etc. So after I take care of taxes and a few minor things I have about 3-5k of "play money." Whenever we get extra money, like a tax return or something, the first thing I think of is "where can we go?" I LOVE traveling, and would always rather spend my money on that. So the trip gets my vote!

I voted for take a trip, because that is what I would do, I LOVE traveling.  BUT, if photography is a big passion of yours (or if it is your profession) I would say buy some great equipment.  I know how expensive that stuff can be, so if it is something you would really enjoy/get a lot of use out of, and if you were pregnant by the time you could go on your trip, I would do this.

If it was me, it would be going towards photography goodies for sure!

If you do have a good handle on finances in general, and it'll be awhile before a trip is possible, you should be able to save enough for a trip by the time you could take one, so in my opinion the photography gear would be more instantly gratifying, without giving up the possibility of a trip when schedules allow.  Plus, when the trip came about, you'd have new gear to play around on the trip!!

 I love travel and photography, so that would be my way to work it to get both.  LOL

i vote other - what about a complete makeover...a super nice spa/shopping day - massage, body wrap, hair, makeup and a complete new waredore - maybe end the day with a hott photo sesh lol!! i would kill for that!!!

Go on a trip!! Pregnant or not, go somewhere you've always dreamed of.....you'll have those memories for a lifetime!

I love to travel so my vote was the vacation.

I say the trip. The things are great and its nice to pay cash for them but memories are something that are worth a lot more, especially if you're planning on kids soon. If you really don't wanna travel in a few months if you get pregnant, then what about a short trip or a staycation. That way you could save some money by making it short and might have money for that photography stuff. So you can take pictures of your memories:) It's a win win.
