Re: Help with salary requirements

  • Do you also have your master's degree in library science?

Well, I looked up Library Specialist, Cleveland OH and also Digital Collection Librarian (two of the relevant terms I could find) on salary average sites, and it says the average is around 50-55k, but of course these things aren't totally reliable. You may also want to look it up and do research.

If you know people in the field you may want to talk to them about starting salaries.

I'm not familiar with the field or the area, but because this seems to be entry-level, I'd guess the range will be something like 35-45k. So you could ask for something in that range. But again, I'd do some more research first.

  • I'd recommend doing some research on what the salary range is that type of field.  I would let them know however, in your reply that "you are willing to negotiate", but you need to know the salary range to negotiate.
