Hi ladies,
I usually just lurk on the boards but I have gotten great answers to questions in the past. I am trying to figure out an anniversary trip for sometime in September or October. We are only able to go for a weekend (possibly a long weekend) so that limits things. Any ideas? We are pretty outdoorsy but I would love to do something like a spa/ massage as well. I would like to stay someplace pretty nice as well. We have done the coast quite a bit but I am always up for a new spot. Thanks so much!
Re: Weekend getaway
Depends on how long of a weekend you can make it. If you left on Thursday and stayed until Sunday, Sunriver or Bend would be nice, but it's a pretty long drive to go for a shorter trip than that. Our go-to is always the coast; if you've never done a bed and breakfast I would highly recommend it! We love the Garrett room at The Gilbert Inn in Seaside.
You could head north to Seattle, or for a long weekend go to Vancouver/Victoria, BC. You'll need passports for that one though. The San Juans would be nice too.
Ditto this!
We stayed at Skamania Lodge last year for our anniversary and are going back again this year. We only live about 45 minutes away so we actually have gone there a couple times for meals and we're never disappointed.
