I know I'm like 2 years late on this movie, but wow....it was so good.  When it was toward the end of the movie, I was bawling.  Mr. Spiderman patted my leg and all I could do was sputter, "Why did he have to have a dog?"  I feel the weight of that movie still sitting on my chest today.  I'm tearing up again just thinking about it.

I read your first line as FOFF YOU RIGHT IN THE REAR and I was all, "Hold up.  I didn't see you write a check."

Now that I know there's something sad about a dog, I don't think I'll be able to watch this movie.

when i was a kid i never would have thought that the craggy guy in the cop and cowboy movies would be such a wondeful filmmaker. you can't really go wrong with clint eastwood. national treasure!

There's not actually anything sad about the dog which is why I was such a crazy person.  It's not like I Am Legend (which I will never watch).  There was just a yellow lab in the film and I am sensitive to the feewings of yellow lab doggies in movies.

I don't know what i thought Gran Torino was about when it first came out, but it wasn't what I expected at all. That's probably why we didn't watch it until last month. So, so good. I cried. (Though, not over the dog. Cali is weird.)

Also - I tried like 8 times to post that, ever since Cali first put this post up. The Nest really didn't want me to call Cali weird, I think.

this is one of my H's favorite movies.  We're both big Eastwood fans, though.  I absolutely LOVE his old westerns, which is kind of weird because I'm not really a western-gal.

I wanted to love the movie, but the kids were such terrilbe actors that it was hard. I still loved the story. I just wish they could have found better actors.
