Hi all! I posted on The Bump too, but my husband and I just found out Sunday that we are expecting! I'm just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a great doctor. I don't know anything about the medical field here since we just moved here. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks so much!
Trish

Re: Good Ob/Gyn??
Where do you live?
I see Dr Angela Breckenridge at West Bend Clinic (north of Milwaukee). I LOVE her. Another doctor in the practice delivered my second daughter, Dr Alstadt. I had a great experience with her as well.

I'm actually in Cudahy so it's pretty easy to get around to most anywhere. I'll definitely look up West Bend Clinic! Thank you so much!
Any other advice? I'm really excited but a little nervous!
Have a great day! Trish
We have some friends in the area and I would not recommend St Francis Hospital.
But if you can find an OB at the Women's Pavilion at West Allis Hospital I've heard nothing but good things.
Congrats! I saw Dr. Carlson @ Milwaukee OB/GYN (across from Mayfair) and I loved him. He wasn't in town when I delivered, so Dr. Sportiello delivered my little guy, and she was great, too.
I delivered at the Women's Pavillion in West Allis and it was awesome awesome awesome, like a PP mentioned. When I was searching for an OB/GYN, I made sure to find one that delivered there, and the doctors at Milwaukee OB/GYN do.
(Bonus - you get to shop since it's across the street from Mayfair. I mean, it's only fair, right?)
Trish - Congrats to you and your DH! What great news! I also go to the Physicians of OB/GYN office in Franklin - they are all wonderful. I see Dr. Barr, but she is 'retiring' soon - makes me so sad! But all of their doctors are wonderful, so you can't go wrong. Good luck!
P.S. Hands down the best hospital in the area is the new one in Franklin on 27th Street, if you care to go that far. I have never had to wait in their ER more than 5 minutes, and my hubby has always gotten amazing care there when he's been in for his diverticulitis. I would imaging their birthing facilities are just as amazing...
Thank you everyone for your recommendations - it is very much appreciated. Unfortunately, I had a miscarriage this last week. It wasn't meant to be this time. But I will at least get established with a doctor in the area to be prepared!
Thanks again to everyone!
Trish, I'm so sorry - sad news! Thoughts and prayers...
