XP (kinda): 4 month stats
26 inches and 14 lbs 3 oz! She has moved up again in weight
percentiles, but she's still a lean bean. The doc said it's fine since
her weight gain has been consistent
I felt really bad, though -
since I had to wake her from a nap to go she was sleepy and clingy and
screamed through the whole exam. Enough that the pedi was saying "Pick
her up, pick her up!" by the end of it. Poor girl. She calmed down
right away, but then came the shots and more screaming. I ended up
nursing her after the nurse left and she went to sleep almost
immediately.
The only thing he mentioned was she has some vaginal adhesion, I'd never heard of that before, just penal adhesion. He said it's really common and hers isn't bad so we just have to stretch it a little at every diaper change and he said it should resolve before 6 mos. If it's still there then I guess the next step is estrogen cream. Oh the things you don't know until you have kids!
Anyway, I was kind of relieved he didn't ask about her sleep
habits or where she sleeps and didn't say we had to start food now. I
see all the posts about pedis telling people they shouldn't room share
and it's okay to CIO and I wasn't prepared to deal with that if it came
up! Maybe because at 2 months we told him she was sleeping 8-9 hours
at night and he seemed shocked lol.
Re: XP (kinda): 4 month stats
I hate to wake Lily (baby at work) up from her naps for anything. She is just cranky and pitiful the rest of the day.
Glad her exam went well! I have to say it again, she is so cute!

I'm glad everything went well! Sounds like she's doing good, except for the vaginal adhesion. I've heard of that before and, fortunately, it doesn't seem to involve the type of intervention that penile adhesions do. Poor girl! She's probably not going to enjoy diaper changes for the next few weeks
MH and I take the pedi's advice on non-strictly-medical matters with a grain of salt. He recommended starting on rice cereal at 4 months and we've waited. He definitely talks about what a pain co-sleeping can be -- but we take that as his non-medical opinion, so it's easy to flout it! (if we wanted to)
Glad it went well!?
I've not heard of vaginal adhesion
hope its taken care of pretty easily
