Fit Friday Check in!

I decided to change the name...fatty friday was too harsh!

I weighed in this morning...and still stuck where I was last week.  I'm feeling VERY discouraged right now.  I lost more weight when I wasn't working out then now when I am.  GRRRRR!  I did exercise Sun, Mon, Thur, and I will again tonight though so that's good right?

How did everyone else do this week?

What's your exercise of choice?

Re: Fit Friday Check in!

  • This is my first time checking in, so I'm starting with what I weighed this morning. Which almost made me curl up in the fetal position on the bathroom floor and cry myself back to sleep. But anyway....hopefully this weekend won't be too killer with tailgating. I have been to the gym everyday this week, and I plan to go tonight and Sunday and Monday.

My exercise of choice? Squats. Of any type. But I also love cardio - and I'm relishing in it right now because while training boot camp over the past few months, I haven't done hardly ANY cardio because I'm always training/timing the women.

  • Oh I've curled up in that all too familiar ball myself once or twice ;)

I've really been digging pilates.  Natalie and I were doing it for a while in the winter then we both sort of stopped this summer.  My mom has an aeropilates machine I've been doing 4xs a week.  I've noticed a difference already I just wish the scale would agree!

  • I'm down a pound, but don't pat me on the back because I was up 3 pounds from a month ago last week.  Excercise... does sweating my butt off because we have no C/A count???  If not, then no excercise here.  Just really watching what I eat..

Hopefully this weekend I'll be working my bum off cleaning, unpacking, moving things now that it's not going to be 90 here, I can actually get some stuff done around the house.

  • I'm trying to get in better shape lately too - but mostly working on my eating habits for now. I've given up trying to get back into running as long as I am doing my 3 hours or more of commuting a day. I'm just too tired and would rather spend the time with DH taking a walk instead. I'm not working to a specific weight, just for a healthier lifestyle.

I'm trying to slowly eliminate high fructose corn syrup. I quit pop about a month or so ago - I gave it up the entire 2005 and I'm not sure why I let myself get back into drinking it after, so now starting over with that. My goal is a more natural diet and moderation over a low fat one.

  • I weighed myself this morning and am still down a couple pounds since I started running in the spring. Unfortunately, I have not been keeping up with the running as I would like with traveling for work. I went running Monday but was OOT Wednesday and Thursday. I did quite a bit of walking at the plant so maybe that counts some! I am signed up for a 5k Sept. 19, the day after I get back from Europe, so I really need to be sure to get my running in the next couple weeks if I plan to run the whole thing!
  • I wanna play!

I haven't weighed in - probably not going to step on the scale for a while, I don't want to know...  my half marathon training is going like crap and I'm beating myself up over it.  After my fall last week I haven't been able to run much, and last night I tried and couldn't run AT ALL.  Hopefully my butt will start healing soon - each day it gets WORSE... I'm starting to wonder if I hurt myself more than I thought I did.

My favorite exercise is anything with strength - I love lifting weights! LOVE!

  • I'd like to play as well!

I decided last weekend that I really need to lose this extra weight I've put on.  My sister is having a DW in April and I need to get my butt in some sort of shape before then!!!

I've been to the gym Monday, Wednesday and Thursday this week.  I think I will attend my first class tonight "Rock Bottom".  The 1st time I took that class a few years ago (when I was committed to the gym) I couldn't walk well for a couple days....ouch!

I"ve been trying to eat better and haven't been doing too bad.  I'm going to really try and cut back on the carbs and sugar....2 of my favourite things in the world.  Sad  I'd also like to replace my coffee (w/milk & sugar) to green tea (bag only).  I also joined this website in hopes it keeps me focused and motivated.  I signed up for the monthly September weight loss challenge and also the 2010 year challenge.

So far I've been doing 30-45 mins on the eliptical then to the weight room for 15 mins and 100 sit ups a day.  Soon I'd like to do 2-3 aerobic classes a week..we'll see how tonight goes if I don't chicken out.

  • Well it looks like everyone is doing well!  I'm so proud of you gals!  Now, let's make sure we continue to do well for this holiday weekend!  The word weekend doesn't mean ok to slack!!!
  • I'm late to this but I wanna play too!

I have decided that I would like to get rid of these 15 pounds I put on after the wedding, so I signed up for a 2 week trial membership at a gym. I went to my first zumba class on thursday and LOVED it!! So much fun! I'm going to try a spinning class this weekend too.

    Anniversary
  • I'm late! but I wanna play!  I didn't lose any weight this week.  But I didn't gain any either, which I guess is good.

Lately I've been kickboxing 3 times a week and trying to run in the days in between kickboxing. The kickboxing classes are helping me really get into shape fast.  I can tell because I can run faster and further. Now if those stubborn pounds would just come off.

  • I'm super late on this, but I want to play too!  I've been really slacking since the wedding and put back on the 4 extra pounds that I lost prior to it Sad

My eating habits haven't been terribly bad, but they haven't been good either; and I've been working like crazy, so working out has been hard.  I did The Shred yesterday and DH and I are going to go on a walk with our dog today before heading to Pittsburgh for the Rib Fest (which I will try to behave at... shouldn't be too hard since I don't care for ribs, I'll just have to try and find something healthier to eat).  We will probably be doing a lot of walking there too.

My favorite type of workout is cardio.  I've really been into the Shred lately because I feel like it gives me the best workout for the time I invest in it.  I also love Tae Bo.  I really want to start running again, too.

So I'm going to jump on the healthy train with you girls now and start getting my butt back into gear!
