Need to vent...

So, since we just moved out here, I don't have a job yet.  I've been using my days to either do stuff around the house or go "discovering".  I decided that today I was going to go to Michaels to see if I'd be inspired to do something creative (I wasn't...).  So, DH asks me at dinner what I did today, and I told him I went putzing around Michaels but didn't find anything.  His comment?  "Well, the grass seems to be getting kinda high, why don't you give the lawn a mow instead of wandering around aimlessly at a craft store...?"   UGH!  Now, I KNOW he didn't mean anything melicious by that comment (the grass IS getting high, and I was going to mow tomorrow), but it just got under my skin.  Thanks for listening to the rant

I understand completely... vent all you need!  What kind of job are you looking for???? Maybe we all can help.... let me know if you need to ever vent... i log on here a lot now that i am addicted to it!!! ha ha

I left my job as Sr. Director of Patient Services at the American Cancer Society in New Jersey. ?I'm looking for something in non-profit social services and/or fundraising. ?But, I'm open to anything! ?I've done lots of event planning in addition to social services. ?Lot's of resumes out, but no responses yet... keeping my fingers crossed! ?Thanks for the positive vibes ?:)

Have you tried looking at idealist.org (probably already have!) but there's sometimes other jobs posted there than in the other non-profit areas.  Are you open to just working at a hospital in the meantime?  I'm in higher ed. so if you want to go that direction I can help!

i love idealist.org... I was a political science major in college so i check it all the time... i am in education now but just in case i ever find anything i am always on idealist.org!

ugh that is annoying DH sometimes make commets like that about the dishes.

oh and didn't the grass grow like a foot with all the rain too! it seriously happened overnight i feel.
